As anyone involved in non-scripted TV will tell you, the casting process for shows like Big Brother, Hell’s Kitchen or Amazing Race can be a major time-consumer; not to mention a considerable chunk of a production’s budget. Israel-based startup eTribez takes the whole process online, saving at least 40% in time and financial costs, claims CEO¬†Eli Albayan. Masterchef and Survivor are just two shows that have benefitted from this new process to date. And that’s not all: the platform even allows candidates to pay small sums to submit their audition video, should the production team request it.
