DKL Studio is a Dubai-based Content Development, Production and Distribution company launched in 2019 by Fadi Ismail – a veteran of Media and Content in MENA with over 30 years’ experience. DKL Studio aims to elevate Arab storytelling to become more compelling and captivating so as to have international quality and reach.
What are you looking for at MIPCOM?
I am looking for co-production partners. the culture of International collaboration is not established in the MENA region and I believe this is one crucial way to elevate the quality of Arab content in terms of both story telling and reach.
What are you bringing to MIPCOM?
I am bringing Arab drama, as finished and as formats to be discovered by whoever is looking for content from outside their comfort zones of where to they usually acquire drama series.
What is your favourite MIPCOM memory?
Many years ago – perhaps 10 years ago! – I believe I was the first, if not among the firsts, to bring to MIPCOM a booth of MBC/O3 Productions which for the first time exhibited not only premium Arab content but also Turkish series which were being launched for the first time outside their own territory.
