Saturday October 1, MIPJunior gets underway; you can watch selected conference videos right here on MIPBlog from mid-afternoon, plus we’ll be liveblogging the day’s most future-focused panels.
Sunday, our liveblogging and tweeting (by the highly capable Stuart Dredge and Angela Natividad) gets truly underway from MIPJunior.
This time, our MIPJunior & MIPCOM live coverage will go beyond conferences to include selected events, to share essential show chatter: so keep an eye out for us if you want to be on MIPBlog!
From Monday October 3, MIPCOM kicks off in the Palais and our live coverage shifts up a gear. All the keynotes, plus selected panels, will be liveblogged right here, and their full videos will be available to watch via YouTube. The evening of Tuesday October 4 will be particularly busy: we’ll pop in to the Digital Game-Changers drinks to grab soundbites from the top-level execs attending, then dash off to our first ever MIP Tweet up (click to RSVP) where you can meet fellow MIPCOM tweeters and the MIPBlog team.
Star-wise we’ve lined up video interviews with the cast of Missing (including the lovely Ashley Judd); Robocop and Starship Troopers director Paul Verhoeven; Shakespeare in Love writer & UK theatre legend Tom Stoppard; and last but by no means least, the inimitable Eddie Izzard. Not forgetting Monday night’s red carpet entrance to the MIPCOM Opening Party, which we’ll cover in photo and video. Unmissable indeed!
Selected sessions — on Saturday afternoon at MIPJunior and all of MIPCOM’s digital “Rebooting the TV Experience” conferences — will feature Balloon. Besides displaying #MIPCOM or #MIPJunior tweets onstage, it also shows that session’s keywords, plus the best audience questions selected from said tweets. Be sure to pop your questions!
And if you fancy sharing your MIP experience with the rest of the world, why not record a sound from anywhere in Cannes and upload it via our partner Soundcloud‘s iPhone app? Just include “MIPCOM” in the sound’s title and it will appear on a soundmap, here on MIPBlog! (check the “Sounds from Cannes” widget)
So many different ways to say: see you in Cannes! And if not, see you right here on MIPBlog 🙂
